Nicaragua Nueva Segovia - Bethania
This coffee is produced by las Hermanas Albir at their Bethania farm, located in the coffee-growing region of Nueva Segovia, in northern Nicaragua. This area is well known for its high altitudes, cool climate, and fertile soils, conditions that promote slow coffee cherry maturation and the development of complex, elegant, and well-structured cup profiles.
At Bethania farm, each lot is handled individually, with close attention to processing methods, sensory profile, and origin expression. The lots are differentiated by their flavor and aroma characteristics, reflecting the producers’ knowledge, dedication, and identity throughout every stage of cultivation and processing.
This project views each coffee as a unique expression within a broader coffee universe, where traceability, respect for origin, and producer-focused values are essential.
This lot features the Maracaturra varietal, a large-bean variety resulting from a cross between Maragogipe and Caturra, known for producing intense, complex cups with pronounced structure, highlighting both varietal character and the terroir of Nueva Segovia.
