An outstanding specialty coffee from the Cajamarca region of northern Peru. Carefully roasted by Blue Faro Coffee Roasters, this microlot delivers a vibrant and refined cup, combining exceptional sweetness with remarkable complexity.
Grown at 2,130 meters above sea level on El Limón Farm, this coffee is produced by Saúl Rivasplata using the Caturra variety. The combination of high altitude, clay-rich soils, and the Andean climate allows the cherries to ripen slowly, developing greater sweetness and outstanding cup quality.
What truly sets this coffee apart is its Anaerobic Washed Cherry process. Carefully selected ripe cherries undergo anaerobic fermentation before pulping, followed by washing and slow outdoor drying. This innovative processing method enhances sweetness, clarity, and complexity while preserving the clean profile expected from a washed coffee.
Scoring 87.25 SCA, Chamba offers tasting notes of orange, muscovado sugar, light caramel, red plum, marzipan, and toffee, supported by a lively acidity, silky body, and a long, sweet finish.
At Blue Faro, we roast this coffee in small batches to showcase its vibrant fruit character and layered sweetness. Whether brewed as filter coffee or espresso, Chamba delivers a memorable specialty coffee experience that highlights the innovation and craftsmanship of modern Peruvian coffee.
